A strong community is one that is rooted in Christ, united in its values and vision, and working together to move forward. In a strong community, every member has opportunities as well as responsibilities. It is our goal to work together to see this happen. To create spaces where people can come together to share ideas and encourage one another. To create opportunities for employment, education, and play.
We at Project Living Hope desire to be part of the community, not outsiders coming in with our own agendas. We value relationships and we believe this is especially crucial because the Haitian culture is a very relational one.

COMMUNITY SEMINARS
PLH organizes multi-week workshops and seminars for members of the community. These seek to promote Biblical living, healthy families, and strong communities.
DISCIPLESHIP
PLH hosted a 10-week course, Creating a Discipleship Making Movement, learning the personal habits of a highly fruitful disciple maker, how to find new disciples and start new movements, and how to equip disciples who multiply disciples and churches that multiply churches. The course participants included PLH staff, community members, and church leaders.
PARENTING
The 7-week Parenting with a Purpose workshop encouraged parents in their role of leading their family, invited parents to share their experiences and join in the discussion, and coached them on Biblical principles to parenting. Some of the topics covered included setting SMART parenting goals, instilling Christian values in your children, authoritative parenting, discipline vs. punishment, and shepherding your Child’s heart.
